Dear Kindergartener,

Hello! Our names are Mrs. Carpenter and Mrs. Mahl and we are going to be your
kindergarten teachers! We are looking forward to seeing you and your family at
Open House. Rick Marcotte Central School has set aside a special day for you and
your family to come and visit the school! This fun day is Monday, August 26th from
11:30 to 12:15. At 12:15 you can take a bus ride with your parents and try out a
Rick Marcotte Central School Bus! 

We have sent home a bus information sheet that we would like your parent to
fill out and bring with you on visiting day. If you cannot visit on Monday,
August 26th, please be sure to get this form prior to the first day of school.

There are many fun things for you to play, explore and learn with! We have
lots of crayons, markers, Legos, puzzles and play dough! We are so excited to
have you in our classroom! We will learn so many new things together!

Summer Fun!

We hope that you are having a great summer!  Here are a few fun ideas to try out.

South Burlington Summer Reading Program The South Burlington Library is offering some great summer reading programs and events! 

Summer Break STEM Activities – These activities provide lots of opportunities for math and science problem solving, oral language, and even reading and writing — especially if you extend them by getting children to label their work, read instructions, and even create stories around their creations. These might provide some fun learning options over summer break!

50 Outdoor Summer Activities For Kids – These are some other great, inexpensive activities that allow children to develop their reading, writing, oral language, math, social skills, and fine and gross motor skills. They’re also lots of fun!
